Dawn B 212
Please, I have only posted this so people can look at my dogs if they wish to, I dont want to start any arguments on KC or showing etc.. 3yrs old male, pictures taken today. This dog tracks for miles, has found injured Deer after a mile and half track. I also use him for Ratting and Squirrel retrieval. (cant use dogs to kill them now ) He also does bushing with my friends Whippets. This is my pup, she is coming 10mths. I do show her, she is doing very well. She has been ratting a couple times and acquitted herself well, she will retrieve feather but not fur since we have been ratting! Fur gets mangled, like it does with the above dog. Im hoping to get her tracking too. Quote Link to post

Dawn B 212
Thanks Wxm, appreciated. I havent found it difficult getting them to retrieve no, its my bitch in the thread you posted about, she is the best though. I use toys as puppies and develop it from there. Its just these two would retrieve ok until one went ratting and got the "kill" fever, and the Other (male) was fine until he came across a live Bird, as soon as it flapped he went into kill mode, and although he will still retrieve, its always mushed! These two are better "terriers" than allrounders. Quote Link to post

Dawn B 212
Hello Dawn. Has the young bitch been stripped out? and at what age was it done? Thanks Darlo. She has never been fully stripped out, you tend to be able to get away with it with a blue, and roll the coat. The male is in full coat, stripped out about 13 weeks ago. Thank you all for your comments. Quote Link to post

Guest busterdog
Very tidy Dawn fair play, I've been disappionted with the standered of borders at the shows, they are to big by far and all seem to have the wrong coat. Quote Link to post
