pointers they are, they do retrieve also, Picking up, wouldnt that be more suited to a lab?

yeh they will pick up, hunt, point and kill vermin good all rounders, I haave a german wire hair'd pointer X lab and she's a good alrounder too

my gwp points ,retreives loves going spotlighting.we took her pig shooting and she lugged the smaller pigs and bailed the bigger ones.a great allrounder

Mixing a wirehair with a lab is sacrilege. It's like crossing a sports car with a dump truck. (the lab being the dump truck of course)

how is it rubbish? mine can do everything a pointer does ( hunts, picks up, points stoats and kills) and was only £150 fair enuff i cant flog pup off for rakes of money but im not botherd

just keep in mind for that sort of money you are only buying half a gwp and what half from the cross is the good bits you mention is anyones guess, both breeds are great gundogs but breed to do different jobs.
