theinvisiblescarecrow 0
Look at these pellets, lovely. I like them. Bullit shape & such an interesting head design. Norica Killers, grabs your attention on the shelves. The tin needs more bling but otherwise great so far. Whenever any one asks what pellet for hunting the replies mostly say whatever is most accurate so I'll start with that. They might be accurate in your rifle. Not in mine though so I'll quickly skip to the penetration bit. Well the good news is, if you hit something It won't over penetrate unless you are hunting close in & shooting very small vermin. That has to be a good thing so It's one out of two for the Norica Killer. Hollow point expanding pellet for more knockdown power. This is where the name comes from then. Most didn't expand or deform much, those that did showed no explanation for the fancy & very pretty head design. Just one made my day, It turned inside out into a Ninja Death Star, wow, seriously. A cornflake with sharp points. So the Norica Killer lives upto it's name. Hit something hard & there you go, weapon of mass destruction, all you have to do is hit something first & hit something that is hard. I've not seen anything else like it. It can only be The one - the only - the deadliest thing on the planet, the mighty Ninja Death Star. In a world of bland average It's Mr Norica Killer. http://www.youtube.com/user/gunvidder#p/u/18/2S9JpkBVYj4 Quote Link to post
Phantom 631
Another interesting video To me, what that video shows is just how unstable they are in flight Almost every pellet shows a damaged section at its impact point, but every one the damage was on a different part of the pellet, which suggests the pellet is "Tumbling" into the target. I have done a few impact tests with various pellets all against various surfaces, such as my ballistic putty backstop and against steel. This is one of the cheapest pellets on the market, Milbro caledonion. The 1st image shows the views from the sides. Left a Milbr_cal unfired. Middle one fired into my putty backstop, right One fired into my metal knockdowns. The exact same pellets viewed from the top as you can see the hard surface caused great expansion These images are similar, using FX 5.52 pellets. The difference being that the one on the far left is a pellet that I removed from the Brain of a Rabbit that I had shot at 35 yards. As you can see the only damage to that one is the air blast up the skirt and a slight bit of damage to the head where it hit the bone. Like the images above, unfired, fired into putty, fired onto metal. Phantom Quote Link to post
