was just wondering if anybodys got or had dogs with tempers if they dont get there own way as daft as this sounds ive got bull/greyhound that if he dont get what he wants seems to lose his temper for instance was out walking him the other day stopped to speak to the next door neighbour after about 5minutes of being stood there he started to bite the lead so ignorned him thought he would stop next thing cause hes relised im at the other end takes a crafty nip at my hand then now hes got a responce turns to bite my other dogs ears which shes now yelped an bit him back an a wars taking place so stops the conversation an gets on with the walk. also had a punch up with my other dog to who was going to have the neighbours cat first forgettin they were both on leads so neither was having it which triggered the tantrum in the first place next time was out with him on the bike he just happened to get caught by the front wheel next thing hes stopped dead an didnt seem to be able to find the most suitable place to bite the bike so sinks his teeth into his lead again its not really a problem but just wondered if anyones ever had this as ive not really come across a dog with what seems to be a temper and what evers closest gets chomped on.

A typical ignorant reply from someone who has obviously never had a bull terrier, and I expect would never dream of owning one due to their ''UNSTABLE''nature. bull terriers can be agressive towards o

Had a few dogs in the past that might have been considered bad tempered, but if they,re able to let out some of the tension built up in them regular i found they settle, dogs with high drive need to b

dog needs getting rid of permanently IMO, dog aggression in a hunting dog can be curtailed somewhat by an EXPERIENCED person (always worked single, on a chain, excercied alone etc), but no one should

Sounds like there's a pack leadership issue there.. How old is your dog, 18 months old or so?

hes about 10month i put a topic on here a while ago about him running off but hes stopped all that and making a really good dog now and learning quick so am really pleased with how hes coming on apart from the other day he was so intent in watching an running with the other dog misjudged me an run straight into my leg an knocked me clean to the floor :icon_redface:

That's one positive, you still have time to correct this behaviour. You need to take a firmer hand with the dog and assert your dominance over the pup, no two ways about it.

I'm not a fan of the 'holier than thou' attitude shown on here from time to time, but if you're incapable of recognising and dealing with problems like this in a dog, then maybe you're not suitable or are too inexperienced to own a powerful dog like a bull/greyhound..

PS.

its not really a problem

Yes it is, and if you don't act it could become a bigger problem..

Good luck with your dog.
