Deker 3,478
How are you guys doing on the foxes out there? I notcie a lack of fox posts and I am just curious whether it is because people aren't having any luck or you are just busy doing other stuff? When the media ran the story of two youngsters being chewed by a fox in their bedroom a couple of months back the phone went mad with work,(many of which I refused as people were being silly), bit quieter now, but still lots about! Treacle Trackpad 6
I had a wander round one of my permissions on the way home from work the other night. I was admiring the amount of deer slots I had and was comtemplating getting a new seat put up when I came across a fox about 15 yards from me. We clocked each other at the same time and he bolted before I had a chance to get the rifle up. Anyways, I walked the rest of the permission wondering how much trouble I was in for not getting home for tea on time, when I thought I would have a bit of a squeak before getting in the motor. The fox I'd seen earlier came charging in so I shouted to stop him at about 60 yards and gave him a 140 grn Hornady Interlock SP for his trouble. One of this years cubs, about 6m old I'd say. Keeper was happy , another one away from the pheasants. Quote Link to post
nod 285
still cant get on the fields as they havent been cut yet, Quote Link to post

Thats right Dave I used the Swede as I had been stalking in the morning so it was what I had with me. Zero is 100yds. Normally I would fox with my .222 which is also a 100yd zero but I have target turrets for dialing in on this scope. Quote Link to post
