camo for hw90k

hi guys ive just got a hw90k and want to give it a camo effect . is there a shop that will do it or would it be just as easy to give it a go myself . im wanting a full gun camo plus scope. [bANNED TEXT] do you think???

You have a few different options depending on how permanent you want the covering to be.

 

1 - Make a cover from camouflaged material, it will need to be in at least 2 pieces and designed not to get in the way of the breach etc. You'll probably need a sewing machine for this.

 

2 - Buy a cover, usually only for things such as the moderator and made of neoprene.

 

3 - Buy camouflage tape and put that all over, but if this gets wet and stays wet then you can have corrosion problems.

 

4 - Paint the rifle with various stencils to get the desired effect. Think 'Shooter' where he spray paints a rifle using a fern as the stencil. But if you don't like the colour scheme after six months it won't be easy to reverse. Also you will need to do a fair bit of prep work to get the paint to adhere to the metal parts.

alan has outlined many things you can do but if you still want to paint it then there are many places that will do it for you. hydrographics looks AWESOME!!! but the prices go into 100's. http://www.staffs-synthetic-stocks.co.uk/custom.shtml these guys are slightly cheaper. or you can paint it yourself which is a far cheaper and if done right much more effective. you can go to your permissions and collect the most common leaves and plenty of long grass aand use them as stencils. you can also customize your colours to suit your permission. this guy did a video tutourial and nthis was the end result: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bl_mAoMn2eM&playnext=1&videos=_tqPCiShWJ8

i was really looking for some one that reall tree dips. ive tryed the tape to day and i cant get it right , plus it peels at the ends

You can buy realtree gun socks that cover the gun but if you really want a pretty good CUSTOM job, then Paddy from the UBC is the man to see

well i think i may have to send him a email. ive been told it will be £170 to dip it and they have the gun for 6 to 8 weeks . and thats no good to me, i want to be out hunting with in three weeks

Go with some skrim, like Stealthy's said.

 

Works a treat and won't feck your gun up if you need to sell it....
