Expadition to the new land

Hey guy's and doll's,

 

Got a text from the lovely land owner thats given me her garden and her next doors garden for squizzers woodies and bunnies

 

she and the family will be going away for a day or so and wondered If I could go up and damage the local vermin population while they are away.

 

So my plan is a camping and 24 to 36 hour shooting expedition, yeeeeeeehaaaaa.

 

So I'll be taking my little one man survival tent and my Sweedish Army Trangia stove and coffee percolator and I will have my trust baby killing machine pointing out of the entrance.

Batteries are on charge for the lamp and I'm soo lucking forward to it

 

If I dont get me a record breaking bag, I'm gonna be miffed

I'll let you know how I get on when I get back

Personally I like it crunchy

 

But I'll buy smooth so I wont eat more than the quarry

good on ya mate i got loads of squirrels on one of my shoots as its 95% woods i shot hundreds up there over the years got 4 on tues 3rd aug there was squirrels everywhere 2 or 3 in every big beech or oak tree but had new scope to zero on rifle 1st so did,nt get as many as i had hoped but was good none the less i have to say they are probably my favourite quarry ..........anyway good luck and enjoy

Take a couple of pairs of pliers if your going to skin and eat the squizzers, because they're a git to skin

squizzers in plum sauce or hoi sin sauce wraps taste amazing tony, trust me buddy.if you dont bother with the fore leags,as theres bugger all there youre laughing mate. personally i gut em then cut the skin horizontally across the back and pull hard to remove the skin over the back, saves messing too much, although as stealth says pliers help so if youve got a multi tool youre quids in buddy.

 

as an aside, whats youre survival tent? i like a basha with a hammock, with a thermorest matress between kip bag and hammock, keeps the heat from running out that way...
