JonathanKent 16
Yes totally possible in fact it is bread and butter work for most gun smiths. Cost depends on gunsmith, I have just had my winchester coyote lite sent off by the gunshop to be screw cut it cost £55, they send them via courier to somewhere don't know where I am afraid. I am sure there are plenty of chaps on here who can recomend someone to you. Hope thats helpfull. ATB Jonno Quote Link to post

Yokel Matt 918
Screw cut + proofing £90 tops... re-crowning... now we're talking Quote Link to post
JonathanKent 16
I have been told that as long as you are just screw cutting the barrel and not shortening it, thereby altering the inside of the barrel, there is no requirement to have it re-proofed. That is what I have just done anyway! ATB Jonno Quote Link to post
jamie g 17
you dont need to reproof it. you only have to do that if your selling it on. some gunsmiths wont do there work inless you have it reproofed yet some do. i guess it depends on there insurance Quote Link to post
