Hi all,

Just thought I would update this thread for the benefit of others who were in the same position as me. Following all the recommendations listed above I bought the following:

Mount.

UltraFire® 501B CREE 300Lumens Tactical Flashlight set.

4x CR123A 3.6V 16340 Rechargeable Battery+ Charger.

Notes.

The mount is from the UK, very fast delivery and can't fault them.

The torch etc was from China and took 16 days for delivery - this is normal, don't expect faster!!

It is better to get a pair of the smaller rechargeable batteries than one of the larger single ones.

The output voltage of two batteries is slightly higher than the single unit, the torch will perform slightly better!

The charger comes with a two pin plug, which I put into a shaver charger. I was aware of this when I bought it, may be an issue for some.

The metal mount that came with the torch is surplus to me as I plan to use the one above, I was aware of this too!

Unless I put the tactical switch between my teeth, there is no obvious way to attach it to the rifle. (velcro, elastic band, glue - haven't decided yet, hopefully one or two suggestions will follow  )

So there you have it. Batteries are on charge and if the weather holds I will be out playing tonight :gunsmilie:

hi buddy all i use for the pressure switch is velcros put a piece on the back of the switch and then a piece on the thumb rest on the stock then i use my thumb to press the switch when needed i found this a lot easier than having it fitted further down the stock

Yep Velcro.

That little set up is exactly the one I use and used last night to good effect

Not off out tonight though even though the rain has cleared and we have glorious blue sky and sunshine

Off to play with the ferrets this evening after catching up on the board and mails.
