ye thats also a tip that nat has given you, my friend used to put the spade in front of the hole, so they had to go down. But because you put them through pipes they should be quite eager. Just remember the more holes and sessions, the more experience you will all gain!

I only do it with the first timers ! If it's the ferrets first time it has to learn to go down the hole. It's [bANNED TEXT] iv been taught to do and at 16 if it's [bANNED TEXT] most people u go ferreting with do n it works why not? Iv only ever had t do it twice and they've turned out to be pretty decent ferrets.

My opinion is if you have to do that then they are not ready, i usually start mine about 7/8 months and they usually fly straight down. Don't really 'work' then until their second season, but just let them learn the ropes.

If a working ferret doesnt enter, it most definately is that there is nothing home.... thata known as a good ferret, and isnt wasting your time by flushing a full warrren with nowt in it.

but if it was the ferrets first time it wouldn't no there was nowt down there ... Unless it was a sh*t hot ferret lol ;) not starting an argument it's my opinion lol

Fair point man, what works for you works, but i find when they are ready they shoot straight down gunning for those rabbits!

lol, yea pal thats quite correct, i did how ever say "working ferret"... A ferret on its first outing wouldnt really be classed as a worker... I understood what you meant tho, and i am sure you did me...Atb RFYL
