kobi2k4 2
should be alright to start going octobour time mate, just small warrens mind tho, wouldnt be expecting much out of them eather, if u have an older experianced ferret to go with them then that would/could be a bonus. atb for ur new ones Danny Quote Link to post
Malt 379
They'll be good to go once they've reached their full size. They'll probably feck about with the nets at the holes at first, popping out tangling the net up and 'dooking' at you when you go to reset it, but they'll soon switch on once they realise that the real fun is to be had down the holes. Jamie m 668
To young mate let them grow up Quote Link to post
liftboy1 0
they will be fine boy, just don't expect too much, I bought 2 kits this time last year, and they were working by December, but as said I was resetting nets constantly, but by march they were working well, they seemed to have a look down the holes and then come back and then go back down and then the fun would start, and I did a bit last week for a farmer (I know out of season), and the went down no probs, but rats seemed to bolt out. With me mate, I dont ferret or shoot with anyone often, only if a few of us go on the odd day around new year or xmas so its just trial and error for me. Atb pal. Quote Link to post
The one 8,503
By the time october comes they should be ready to start and as your already running them threw pipes they should have a rough idea of whats required Quote Link to post

nat 8
I usually start ares [bANNED TEXT] they roughly fully grown (y) if they don't go down after a couple of. Times I put them down and cover the hole with ma foot or hand till they go down. Usually only have t do it once or so good luck Quote Link to post
liftboy1 0
ye thats also a tip that nat has given you, my friend used to put the spade in front of the hole, so they had to go down. But because you put them through pipes they should be quite eager. Just remember the more holes and sessions, the more experience you will all gain! Quote Link to post

My opinion is if you have to do that then they are not ready, i usually start mine about 7/8 months and they usually fly straight down. Don't really 'work' then until their second season, but just let them learn the ropes. Quote Link to post

Or when it's older sometimes it means something BAD is down the hole. Quote Link to post
