blackknight 14
thanks 4 the pic mate . is this yours looks good thanks she you-st to be mine, but a friend of a friend has her now. was she a first cross mate did she or any otheres of the litter ever sufer with knee problems that you no of im very intrested in this cross but the knee thing is a worry yes she was a first cross, only 19 inch and fast enough to catch rabbits but some times fell over her own feet could of dun with a couple more inches, also had e very good nose on her and would hunt any cover but would end up cut to bits, there was no stopping her once she was of the lead as she just wonted to hunt. very sad to say but lucy passed away just recently from parvo Quote Link to post

thorny 100
Interesting post to me this one, I dont understand how this cross will create pups that are upright in the stiffle???. This is a problem in any dog if you breed from an animal that holds this flaw in its own make-up. Simply use an animal that has a correct bend to stiffle whilst a flat top line. The knee problem mentioned is a slipping patela and yes this is an heredatory fault in Bull Terriers. Basically put in normal terms the ball at the end of the bones is near none exsistant and allows the bone to slip in and out of the joint. Again simply just use an animal that is showing no signs of this fault. Sqwaut down and get the animal moved away from You at a troot pace. The fault will shine out like a slapped arse as the Bully will flick its problamatic leg as it moves. The one heredatory problem that I would be more worried about is the Kidney failure that is rife in the breed and as this is near impossible to pin point, and claims the life of many a Bull Terriers by the time its 4 years old. I breed Bull Terriers for years and would love to see some pictures of crosses holding there blood. I still own two a dog and bitch. The bitch couldnt catch a cold and barely moves from the sofa, but I could imagine My dog could be a real handful if allowed to do His thing. Has caught several wood pigeons from the garden, a Mixy rabbit even made a terrible mess of one of My nieghbours cats. Very awkward few weeks after we confessed He had caught and killed it in our garden, and trying to keep him under control when he knows when one of the many fox`s passes threw our garden.
