Why the hell are Face Book reading my add???

Hi, folks.

 

I've just placed an add in the guns for sale section, went in to have a look and noticed FB reading it.

 

Why the hell are they looking at some air guns for sale??

 

Really, I'd love to know. Come on FB, you seem to have quite an interest as to what's been going on over here lately. Don't be shy, I'm sure you'll pick up on this.....

IanB opened the site to everyone, all guests can see your pix if you use Photobucket to host them and read your posts, but if you donate and host your pix on THL the guests cant see them, think this is why we have to many watchers

I wouldnt get worked up about it...do you really think that an employee at FB would even bother to register a user name like 'facebook' to trawl through forums?? All the social networking sites use the same searchbots and webcrawlers as the major search engines and they definately dont have to register for a username etc.

 

Its probably just some young un who thinks its fun to have that username

I know what you mean, Markha. I'm not paranoid, honest!! :crazy:

 

It's just a bit odd that whoever it is you can't click on it to veiw profile and it doesn't register on the view count, so I don't think it's some random who's having a giggle with the user name...

Yeah I know it's been opened up and TBH I'm not really happy about it.

 

I can see why it's been done from a purely business point of view but I'm not so comfy with any old random trawling through. I know anyone could register anyway, so maybe I am paranoid after all....
