adamb20 22
my bitch has come into heat again, she has not long been over her last phantom pregnancy, it took about four months from her first bleeding to come back to normal. if she has one as bad again she will be usless for half the season. should i think about getting her spaid or will it afect her drive and performance etc. cheers. Daveo 61
How old is she? Breeding off her that should stop the phantoms, what if she turns out to be the best thing since sliced bred and you want a pup of her in the future? and she has been spade? Quote Link to post
adamb20 22
shes two and a half. she is a decent lamping dog when fit and very clever and obedient. i was wanting to line her with a saluki whippet greyhound in time but if shes getting bad phantoms every six month that last four month there will be hardly time to work her. shushycatcher 219
look up Ovarid on google mate,it surpresses or postponed seasons,ATB Quote Link to post
Dawn B 212
Having a litter will absolutely NOT stop her having phantoms, thats totally untrue, it could well make her worse. The ONLY thing to stop phantoms is to have her spayed. If you dont intend breeding its the permanent solution, and the best one, and no, it wont make the slightest difference to her working, except you will be able to take her out whenever you choose! pattstaff 157
shes two and a half. she is a decent lamping dog when fit and very clever and obedient. i was wanting to line her with a saluki whippet greyhound in time but if shes getting bad phantoms every six month that last four month there will be hardly time to work her. You could end up with the same syndrome in any pups you bred out of her. Quote Link to post
adamb20 22
So you think spade is the best option Quote Link to post
