Malt 379
I can't wait for the season to start. I can't get out as often as I used to, but one of my small consolations is coming on here and reading about other ferreters forays out into the countryside. I've been disheartened of late because all I seem to be reading is shite about ferrets dying if not bred from, and folk aiming to become some kind of Richard Branson with the aid of breeding the next in thing in the ferret world for £££. Black ferrets, angora ferrets, eu polecats, chutney ferrets, the list goes on! Here's to the first fecking frost and people sticking their stinky things into dark holes in the ground, that's what it's all about! 1 Quote Link to post

Ideation 8,216
I've been spending the last couple of weeks walking a lot of my permissions. . . . hole counting, looking at new activity, scrapes in the field. . . . . just imagining. Its a bit cooler tonight and getting dark by 9.30 now. . . . . . Funny thing is i think the stinkers know it as well . . . . they've been going mad in the cages and fighting to get out. . . .. . . . My favorite thing is that first thumping. . . . the first time you stink your stinky one down the hole in the new season and its all quiet for a few moments and then you hear the dum dum dum dum. . . . . . . dum dum dum dum . . . . . then a kinda whooshing sound and a little grey flash explodes into you net. . . . . .
