bullet 129
The other guy who took the sister has his feeding sensibly on the fist in all situations now at 2lb 12. We'll have some sport soon pal . when you're over next we'll go on a mission with the birds again and have some time out with the Rifles too... She's a nice bird Rosselle but as you know I like the males and not keen on big females. It will be good to see your third season male this year, somehow I don't think he will be taking many prisoners...... nice looking bird there mate, why does everyone seem to go on about the size of the bird as if bigger is always better? jasper65 6
nice looking bird there mate, why does everyone seem to go on about the size of the bird as if bigger is always better? f**k knows Bullet you tell me mate. Its the first decent size female I have kept back but what choice did I have when I only bred one male what was spoken for. the Finn x Hungarian female I kept back in 2007 was the smallest I bred that year with all the others being Finnish so I kept her! she did everything I wanted from a bird as would a half decent sized male if I had bred one.... this year I had too many females and kept the one bird left in the aviary! I still stick by what a old falconer said to me "Big Boys Small Girls theory" but this year its a case of needs must and she's all that was left sitting in the aviaries for 14 weeks......
