harrycatcat 31
It certainly sounds ok for that money, good luck with it.
samearl14 11
Depends if it is as sound as he says! But if it is, not a bad price mate ATB Sam
islayhawk 0
I drive one and cannot complain - quite heavy on fuel being automatic. Being an import the fuel pump seals going are a cert unless they have already been replaced. The diesel in the UK is differnt than the diesel in Japan so it rots the pump seals. Will cost another £200 approx to repair. islayhawk
brunty29cdo 5
just keep an eye out on that temp gauge as the headgasket is a major issue on the 2.5s.i loved my one(a rare manuel pajero) but within 6 months needed headgasket, headskimmed and then the bottom end went!.i would like another as i loved it but id defo go for 2.8 as they have much stronger engine, far more performance and pretty much the same cost to run.good luck with it tho! samearl14 11
I would agree. 2.8 has more guts
Midland Mole Control 0
Sorry to be a smart ass here, but it is the 2.8 engines that are prone to head gasket (usually around the EGR valve) and fuel pump seal failure, 2.5s are pretty sound all round. I've had pajeros for the last seven years a 2.5 and a 2.8, very good, capable and comfortable cars. Auto box is better as the sychro hubs tend to go in the manual box (what killed my 2.5 - £600 for a gearbox refurb). Well worth getting on the Pajero Owners Club forum @ www.pocuk.com/forums. Been a member there for well over 6 years and found it to be a great source of info. Banter is good too!
