bigoy19706 276 Posted July 31, 2010 Report Share Posted July 31, 2010 hi all just got to young jills 9 week old i was told if a ferret nips you it will always do it but if they are 9 week old will this just be palying because the have had a go at niping me i got them at 8 week old and held them evey day so is they any thing i can do to stop them niping or will the just stop when the get older Quote Link to post
longnetter 32 Posted July 31, 2010 Report Share Posted July 31, 2010 If its only a slight nip I'd say they will stop as they get older (they're still only babies at 9 weeks) Don't start slapping them about you'll only make them hand shy and then they will start biting properly and that f5cking hurts Try picking them up after they've eaten they're often less likely to nip with a full belly but don't give up its early days yet they're still very young ATB Quote Link to post
mooster 1 Posted July 31, 2010 Report Share Posted July 31, 2010 Handle,handle,handle. With kits I always handle them religously at least twice a day for ten minutes. When you hold a kit,keep your right thumb and forefinger like a loose ring around its neck whilst gently stroking and massaging the body.
