So why dont we just respect each others thoughts and opinions and get on and not be at each others throats all the time. After all we are all interested in working dogs and getting the best out of them for there choosen quarry Quote Link to post

matmorgan 49
i thought a tumbler was a type that would tumble its quarry using its feet before taking hold with its mouth.alot of collie crosses will start by trying to use there feet to trip the quarry.until they gain thier technique in striking with mouth.im curently breeding a new type of dog called grabsnappers.thier the nuts.better than any dog at anything.best part is you could all own one for the small price of £500 a pup. whin 463
but do they do everything ive only had afew dogs that could do verything and they were very good now i would love to see dogs of that class ,as they only come once in a while and hard to reproduce ,and to have dogs of this ilk most have a very hard prey drive , well bred instincts bred out of good qaulity dogs ,and you mabe onlyget a few a litter , at most and the timing has to be [bANNED TEXT] ie game about pre ban etc ,and time tp do it and knowledge to do it ,cant believe what i read on here nowadays ,nothing about hunting past or present just total nonsense Quote Link to post

cúagusgiorraí 57
I agree with you Whin, but still when someone is happy with their shaggy mutt, then I think it is only courteous to just let them be, and dwell in their own delusions Regarding Tumblers, if people want to know the real truth about what is a tumbler, well its easy to find, if they are willing.. but they may be greatly disappointed with what they discover. wuyang 513
Just been on the website again, here is some info and a pic from the site of two litter mates, one a tumber and one a lurcher.... Q. What is the difference between a Lurcher and a Tumbler? A. Sam and Ben are brothers, yet Sam is a Lurcher where as Ben is a Tumbler. Ben(right) is a specialist rabbit dog with superior agility and acceleration (for short dashes in small spaces). Sam (left) is 'up on the leg' with ground covering stride, more suited to hares in open spaces. Quote Link to post
