wuyang 513
Trimmex is a powder which is made to stop the bleeding of the nail. Not too much to buy and is very good, we used to use it in the grooming parlour. But if dry soap works then why not. Quote Link to post
Neal 1,869
I think, to a certain extent, it depends on the individual dog. The kelpie in my avatar has small, tight, round feet and after trimming his nails a couple of times as a pup, I've not needed to do them now for over ten years but I've had some dogs which needed regular trims. Mickey Finn 3,012
fair play lads,as said not bein funny,i have no probs with mine I hear ya tb25. concrete or cement will keep the nails down to a good level. Concrete kennel floors will do the same. As long as you brush it while it's still wet. I didn't know about the starting the cutting early to keep the quick from growing out. That'll be useful next time threw. ATB Quote Link to post

supersam 64
never clipped any of the dogs iv had over the years. all different crosses too. plenty of road walking keeps there nails short and also keeps there pads nice and firm instead of clipping or trimming your dogs nails try walk it every day, twice if possible on the road for an hour-hour n a half a time, imo its a more healthier way of keeping the nails short Quote Link to post
