marko 30
look at the hw80 with a bit of kit 300 should get you a good example. Quote Link to post
terrierman 0
I've got the HW57 really nice gun, but the HW35 is also a good buy! Quote Link to post
matt_hooks 188
For £300, if you shop around and bargain hard, you should be able to pick up a reasonable entry level PCP, with a bottle. Cheap as chips to refill (a bottle refill is less than a fiver and lasts for meny rifle refills) and the complete lack of recoil makes shooting accurately a doddle. If it's definitely GOT to be a springer, a Theoben Fenman is a good choice, or one of the many Weirachs that are about (but everyone has a Weirach these days!) Quote Link to post
poacher3161 1,766
HW awsome guns a bit on the heavy side but good work horses. Quote Link to post

The weight of the rifle is 8.6lbs But I dont think your enquiring about that so I'll hazzard a guess that you want to know the ME (Muzzle Energy) So the ME is not too far short of 11to12 ft/lbs Phantom Quote Link to post

Phantom 631
Thats correct Apart from a few that sneak in to try to stir thing up a little, were here to answer questions. Don't be afraid to ask anything. its how we learn stuff and it helps those who are a little shy about asking. Even us experianced regulars on here wind up asking somethings, helps refresh our memory and someone will have another answer that may be of use to people or even puts things across in a way that just 'clicks' in a way that will be understood more easily than the way someone else says the same thing using different words if yah get what I mean. Ask away Oh and :welcomeani: to the forum Phantom Quote Link to post
hunter1989 91
hi buddy i would recomend the bsa lighting xl tatical or the hatsan mod85xth, atb steve Quote Link to post
Ron Weasley 83
Definitely look at the HW95K, or even an HW99S. BSA Lightning is a decent rifle too, although for my money, the Weihrauchs are better build quality. If you can stretch to it a Fenman, as has already been said is a great rifle. That's discontinued now, so you'll be limited to a second hand one- which means it should fall into your price range. But I don't honestly think many people will disagree that the HW95K should be your starting point. *edited to add* Also, have a look at the Gamo Hunter. As I understand, they're a decent enough rifle for not a lot of money. Edited August 1, 2010 by Ron Weasley Quote Link to post
marko 30
it depends what your shooting mate 177 for feather less trajectory, 22 for rabbit and rats but each to there own i guess good luck with your choice but as said weirauch cant go far wrong very reliable and sturdy guns.
