Depends what you mean by best?

Iv had dogs that were good honest workers and iv had dogs not so good.....

But they have been good in other ways, I had one which was as hard as nails and just plain funny to work.

I used to end up laughing my head off at him.

He was missing a gear for hares but would literally run himself to exhaustion trying. I admired that.(only accidental hares mind it didnt slip him on them intentionally)

He once took a stock fence down because he hit it so hard and still ran the hare.

I had a squatter right in the corner of a field with a big wall round it and he bounded up to the rabbit, which sort of did a wall of death actually using the side of the wall to escape so the dog attempted to follow it and almost managed it.

The absolute best was when me and a mate were out ferreting, the dog liked to hold netted rabbits untill i got there, my mate went to take a rabbit from him and they ened up fighting over it and rolling down a steep banking.

He retrieved the rabbit and net to me in the end.

Like i said not the best worker but defo the best fun.
