Daveo 61
Depends what you mean by best? Iv had dogs that were good honest workers and iv had dogs not so good..... But they have been good in other ways, I had one which was as hard as nails and just plain funny to work. I used to end up laughing my head off at him. He was missing a gear for hares but would literally run himself to exhaustion trying. I admired that.(only accidental hares mind it didnt slip him on them intentionally) He once took a stock fence down because he hit it so hard and still ran the hare. I had a squatter right in the corner of a field with a big wall round it and he bounded up to the rabbit, which sort of did a wall of death actually using the side of the wall to escape so the dog attempted to follow it and almost managed it. The absolute best was when me and a mate were out ferreting, the dog liked to hold netted rabbits untill i got there, my mate went to take a rabbit from him and they ened up fighting over it and rolling down a steep banking. He retrieved the rabbit and net to me in the end. Like i said not the best worker but defo the best fun. Quote Link to post
