new kits....

[bANNED TEXT] folks, the kits are now 9 days old, ive been giving my jill plenty of food and water!! and shes been really good and very comfortable with me, so tonight i had a we peak in, could only see two kits but they look fine ;) what age do they open thier eyes at? (tommy.c) :thumbs:

generally speaking they should have there eyes open by the 5th week :thumbs:

thanks kay, im just very excted but i know i have to be very patient, theres still about 2 or three weeks before they start coming out themselves!! :thumbs:

One of mine did the same mate but with the first litter I looked in the nest to see how many she had ( didn't touch) then I went in a couple of days later n they'd all gone :( so I bred her again and haven't opened the door where she's nesting, but can hear the kits and I'm nt going to touch them till there eyes are open and they start wondering :) so far so good and they're still here 3 weeks on ;)

just had a good look at the kits today, there is three very healthy kits and the jill is doing a brilliant job as mum,ive been feeding her plenty of tuna and chicken wings!! how long before i can tell what sex they are? :thumbs: (tommy.c)

mate dont be giving her 2 much tuna it ruins right through them just nie and again will be fine raw egg is good for a nursing jill give her mince as well as chicken i would wait till there 3 weeks mate before you check to see who are males and who are females any problems give me a shout :thumbs:

cheers mate i only give her tuna every second or third day and aswell as the chicken she would get a bit of dry food! and just 1 raw egg a week, do you think thats ok mate? :thumbs:

i would only give her tuna once a week mate give her raw egg about 3 times a week i feed my nursing jills chicken a mince every day and rabbit if and when i have always have dry in with her to ano its hard to not take a sneeky peak but 3 weeks is plenty of time some jills a weird a f**k mate and will kill kits over the stupidest thing :censored:

yeh kay arent they !! im keeping a jill myself and my mates are takeing the other 2, so they will all be out ferreting together when the time comes ........ :thumbs: :thumbs:
