Sweeney-Todd 208
Hi all. Been having a few problems with my HW100 of late The main problem being the loose barrel, and loss of accuracy. With the barrel loose I was nearly 2ft to the right at 30yds After tightening the Barrel TWICE, the rifle appears to have lost its accuracy. Best groups achievable at 30 yds being an inch. The sound of her has changed too, from a sharp "ting" as the hammer goe's, to a dull "thud" To say I was fed up is an understatment Having spent hour's getting her just right, she pull's a sicky on me Packed up the rifle and went straight to the Sportsmans Gun Centre in Exeter. I explained the situation to one of the lad's there ( Brilliant Chap ), and we went through the usual possibles of what it could be. In the end, I asked for the rifle to be exchanged, as I did not want to loose my Cannon for 4/6 week's, while in Germany being fettled. Got to say, Sportmans Gun Centre were brilliant, and put a brand new action into my stock, without any excuses or bickering, excellent service and customer care Got the Cannon home, and put the scope, bipod, and sling back on. Next, into the garden to Chrono the new action........ohhhhh me, she is putting out an avg of 581.5ftps using 16gr AA Fields = 12.016ftlbs Im going to put a couple of tins through her and chrono again, hopfully she may settle down a bit. Although running slighlty hot, she doe's sound very nice May get out tonight and re zero her, fingers crossed all will go well. Would reccomend The Sportmans Gun Centre to anyone, very helpfull and excellent service ATB. Bill. Quote Link to post

Enjoy your some more action with your new action Phantom Quote Link to post

Heard some real horror stories about Hull, poor turn around, scratched rifles and stock's, not had any personal experience of them mind you, so cant confirm. It is worrying though, kind of put's you off using them when you hear such like from others. Hopefuly, all will be well now buddy. Im looking forward to the action with my new action yes ATB. Bill. Sweeney-Todd 208
Hi All. Well I went out this morning with the Cannon to re zero. Got to the range and made ready to shoot. Not a breath of wind so ideal conditions. Target out at 30yds ( Lazed ). First shot hit the dirt in front of the target ......bugger I thought. I knew it would be slightly adrift but not THAT much. Tried to bring the shot up, and came to the end of the elevation deflection on the adjustment.......bugger again......no tool's with me, wasnt expecting major surgery . So packed up and came home to shim the rear of the scope......with that done, I made my way back to the range. Made ready again, and after setting the elevation and deflection to the centre again, the first shot was ON !!! few more adjustment's and the Cannon was back to good health The thing I notice most about the new action, is how sweet and crisp it sound's. So.....all done now, apart from swopping 6 tins of AA Fields for RWS Superdomes which the new action loves. Picture of the Range. HAPPY DAY'S ATB. Bill. Quote Link to post
