I also had same problem about 17 months ago, my bitch stopped eating and was realy thin after a few days i had a close eye on her she wasnt her self,after 5 days no eating no much fluid i thought something was up,her second eye lids were closing over and pupils dilating,her gums had red blotches all over them and started brusing even when touching her for comfort! We rushed her to 24 hrs vet that basically said she would be lucky to survive the night, to this day the vets dont know how the hell they saved her as when i took her in she had the highest heart rate and blood pressure they had seen on any animal,of course i was devastated when they said she may not make it through the night as i got this bitch off a friends family,sadly he was killed so i took on the dog and want to do my best for her as i know he would want me too! We still dont kniow what poisen it was,but she was trated with rat poisen! Feel for you mate always happens to the best of us! Chin up bud ATB

sorry to hear this happend to me twice the fist it happend to me best whippet and she died cos i hadent reacted quick enough but it happend to another lurcher bitch i had nd i saw the simtoms nd got her to the vets quickenough

As Roo was a rescue dog I've been having a look around for another that needs a new home but have found the price has gone up for rescuing them, got to pay £120 donation now and I just don't have that sort of money, so will have to wait for awhile.
