this is my 8 and half month old 3/8 5/8 collie grey bitch. whilst out walking the last couple of weeks a couple of people have said she seems a bit thin. what do yous think. she 24 tts and weighs 56lb. cheers.

Most people are used to owning and seeing fat Labs and barrel shaped Terriers so when they see a dog with a waist they worry and if they see a rib they panic! I think most people that own not just Lurchers but any working dog will of had comments about their dog being thin. Don't worry about it. As long as the dog's happy, lively and active then I wouldn't worry too much.

I don't think its a bad thing for a 8 month old pup to be a bit over weight, she's gonna run it off soon with the new season coming up. The general public are very naieve, about sight hounds I'm always getting comments about mine. Your pup is lovly by the way she looks really well, good luck with her, lorna

56 lb (25.45 kilo) mate you sure she weighs that? , she looks fine on picture doesn't look underweight but she doesn't look a 56lb animal atb D.T

For 8 1/2 month 24" 56 lb is a good weight pal i wouldnt be at all worried she looks well. you always get the odd snidey comment tell em to mind their own
