my first lurcher problems

i have recentley started to take my 10 11 month old saluki whippet bull greyhoud awt on lamp caught 2 other nite on lamp retrived couldnt belive both crunched but thats to be exspected for first thew still good for ferrets anyway took him awt again with mates bull greyhound for his next time got him going down lamp caught another 2 wouldnt retrive an et them go lol could this be because i ran him with another dog if any one has any tips please let mi know would be much appreciated thanks

hi mate i also have that prob my bitch used to retreive to hand untill i started working her with other dogs now she will come in to about 20 feet or so and drop them i have had 2 ocations neer the end of the night she has ran away with them and ripped them to bis and eat them

wel thats funny is that my mate has a kelpi greyhound merle beatiful dog breed from good lines well they are ment to been none for brains it runs the beem spot on jumps recal excellent it just wont retrive an if he dosnt take it awt for a week or 2 the first few rabbits it wilkl rip to bits an try to eat them lol

she is deerhound x collie greyhound back to beardie greyhound great wee dog as a said the only thing i can falt her for is that its even worse if you walk out tae her she will pick it up and walk away with it i also have a 3quarter greyhound 1quarter saluki 10 month old bitch shes startig to come on been out on the lamp several times now and nailed her first bunny on friday roll on september when we can be out more often dont want to do to much with her the noo just keep her ticking over do you have any other dogs mate?

Doesnt matter how inteligent they are mate. If they haveNT been trained proparly to retrieve they wont. Yours is easy young enough to take it back to the park and work on the retrieving skills. Then dont run it with other dogs till you are concrete on the disapline... let it have fun alone...but know who the boss is, and what it has to do...
