CarraghsGem 92
Q: Whats the difference between a patterdale and a black lakeland? A: Bout a 100 quid. Probably quite a bit more than that...As i said the post wasn't meant to be taken seriously,I was just surprised that black and chocolate where recognized colours for kc lakelands always assumed they only came in b&t.Personally i believe that all the coloured terriers have the same origins. If you look at old photos of lakeland/bedlington/border types there's not a lot of difference between them way back.I think they're the same dog thats evolved in different directions. Its still happening now. A Nuttall Patterdale looks nothing like a N Stevens Patterdale as a J Park Lakeland looks nothing like a J Cowan lakeland Given enough time will they end up as different breeds? On a lighter note if i had put up the pic that Carraghsgem posted and said what you think of my patt pup? who would have doubted me?ps yes i have seen a blue terrier bred from black dogs about 20yrs ago was just browsing through a k.c lakeland terrier club website! 750 they reckon is average for a pup. f*****g KC PEDDLARS then people here are abusive to other members when they sell pups from decent working stock for more than 200. CarraghsGem 92
a rare blue patterdale. Like those blue bullies/AST , wide and low. With a massive 22 inches head size haha. the blue colour probably is a throw back from bull blood added into the mix many generations ago. after all its a common colour in staffies. A: Bout a 100 quid. ill agree scent, but still no one has answered me, puppy pedlars, and i dont really like to say that, but big names sell pups, and young lads who dont know the craic spend on a name :stinker: Quote Link to post
