Dave C 63
Got a new farm to add to my permission and it holds a nice Lake / pond with a large number of Geese which the farmer wants gone ASAP, most are Greylag which will have to waite until September, but until then its picking off a few Canadas that will be keeping the farmer happy. So i have been doing some water training with fern over the last few weeks but she has never retrieved warm game from the water and i di think what she would make of a big Canada. So after checking it out with the BASC me and Pointer off this site had a look down with the dog for a look about. Pics are not the best sorry Fern ready to go in the hide Retrieveing the smaller canada with the larger bird in the background What a time for the batteries to go, you can just make out the little dog with a big bird What are they all looking at Well she did realy well and with everything she dose she retrieved the birds keenly, so another notch on the side of her kennel. Mickey Finn 3,016
Nicely done Dave. Looks like fern is doing very well. If you guys are anywhere near as warm as we have been. I bet it was a tough hunt. ATB Quote Link to post
Dave C 63
Thanks Mickey, it has been warm over here and she was very pleased to get into the water for a cool off, but they were heavy geese for a small dog but she has the heart of a lion ATB Dave. Quote Link to post

Fox and Grey squirrels are tasty. Be sure to give them a few minutes in the pressure cooker first. Quote Link to post
