phantom your experiences of what injuries a rat can sustain and still survive for too long a period are different to mine.

but as its our own experiences that shape our views im not saying im right and your wrong.

ive wasted my life away hunting rats with dogs, guns and to a lesser degree traps :D .i still see them as a tough critter and a normal sized rat (14-18 inch nose to tip of tail) aint all that small for an air rifle.as big and id say tougher than alot of young rabbits ive shot infact.

hey you have seen the benches an solid is not a word i would use to describe them. and before anybody pipes up, i had a mate with a 1022 ruger standing by in case i missed the F:censored:R or wounded it

Of course they are solid buddy,

Solid as a squirt of the slopps in the pan after a great bunny vindaloo and a dick up ones girlfriends butt :icon_eek:

I wasn't going to mention any names, because of the "Morons" that say it can't b done!

Even though us "Real Hunters" know that it can

,other than that i find the trigger is naff compared to my Rhom,,tau 7,,bruno multishot.

Niel

But you and I both know we can not seriously compare the trigger of an alecto to the Rhom, Tau or Bruno can we

That would be like comparing the Steyer trigger to a CP99 co2 job!

I have a couple of Puppies, they are the HW40 and the HW70, don't even think of the 70 for ratting! :nono: even if you put it in a rats ear!

My Baby is the Air Arms S200 :notworthy: :notworthy: :notworthy: Bunny basher, Corvid Capper, Bullseye Target Annihilation and THL 2010 meet Marksman of the year 2010 all her specialities :gunsmilie:

My Beast is the SMK XS19 Bunny Killer with a kick like a mule :D

I had a Crosman Medalist 1322 pistol for a while earlier in the year and its a pump up. Its unusual in that its a .22 for a pistol, but they also do a .177 version. I was very impressed with it. The disadvantage over c02 is that you have to pump it up. But the advantage is that by pumping it more or less you can vary the power, depending upon the range you want to shoot over.

I found it pretty accurate. Obviously no scope, but theres websites dedicated to it where you can mod it to fit a scope if you dont like the original sights.

Looking about they are fairly rare tho, american made and a decent one will set you back more than a good co2 pistol.
