chimp 299
im sorry but ive taken a few muntjac over the years and that one looks no different from any other , it was just that statement that made me laugh. hardly a 500lb stag in rut is it. but yes i agree they taste great infact the best eating one for me Quote Link to post
scotty2306 37
any ammount of bull added into a lurcher mix will reduce the running stamina imo but it will add other things, both my dogs have bull 1 is 1/8 the other 1/4 they suit me 4 allround lurcher work but if all i wanted was a out and out running dog i would not entertain anything with bull in it as ive never seen a good 1 for daytime hare Quote Link to post

The fact is if you're intending to do daytime hares seriously you'd have to be a moron to consider one, but that can be said of collie/bedlington/various other x's aswell so why bring daytime hares into it? I have a racey 5/8th bull x bitch who has done daytime hares & has plenty of wind but I didn't get her for that reason, if I wanted a hare dog I'd buy a saluki x but then again I find hare coursing boring so thats a no go for me. She lamps, ferrets, hunts up & has taken rabbit/hare/fox & deer single handed & has served me well Quote Link to post

mick 7
WOULD LIKE TO KNOW YOUR OPINION / OR IF THIS IS THE TYPE OF DOG YOU ARE RUNNING AND THE PROS AND CONS
Ive a bitch here nearly 12mths, 28tts , 80lb , shes 5/8 gry x 1/8 x 1/4 bull , her parents were roughly same size , i think the dash of saluki adds good height and length to the mix , stamina , and even more prey drive , especially pre ban , ideal for deer ! look on Mr Poachs gallery to see parents and what i mean . Remember that litter, really wanted one of them but it was the wrong time for me Have you got any pictures of her Mick.. Quote Link to post

She lamps, ferrets, hunts up & has taken rabbit/hare/fox & deer single handed & has served me well im going off what ive seen mate any bull xs ive seen blow up 2 easy the question was about stamina and thats my answer.fair play to tou if you have a good one but you will be in the minority that have as there 2 many shit ones being bred.i have a 1/4bull just starting him so cant comment on him but if he is shite i'll be first to admit it,he has done well up to scratch tho. charlie boy 85
pointless having any bull blood for day time hare , overkill for rabbits as well even on the lamp they sturggle , call a spade a spad there out and out killers for the morons that use em. Quote Link to post
markg 0
dont no what bull xs some of you guys have seen run, but adding bull to the cross is going to put more stamina into your dogs than alot of other breeds, the american pitbulls or staffs were made for stamina aswell as gamness if they didnt have the stamina they would be no good at there job as some fights could last a long long time, I have a bull x 3/4wippet1/4greyhound which runs all night. horses for courses lads, atb markg Quote Link to post
