Hi all

Been on here a while but this is my first post I am in to Falconry, Shooting and ferreting.

I would like to know what pcp you would advise to get as a first pcp at the moment I have a BSA Lightning but am looking to get a pcp. I have around £500 to £600 to spend including charging equipment.

ps: I am left handed.

Thats the best advice airgunner has given you, most gun clubs are friendly enough and will usually have a guns for hire for the newbie and then they a few will try shoving a gun in your hand telling you which is their own preference and you can get a feel of what you like and you choose from there, casue looks don't mean anything!!

You might find one that has the right feel and balance, but to heavy for your liking or to longer barrel, awkward cocking (especially with you being a lefty), weather you prefer single or multishot, awkward magazine loading or doesn't give you enough shots per refil out in the field, target shooting is fine casue you can refil easier than in the middle of a field, unless your taking out a divers bottle, to bigger bottle adds to the weight and balance of the gun. Dont rush like I did with my first going from someone elses recommendation and you will find something decent....

I have had a few different guns which haven't being perfect, I started with a Rapid 7 MK2 and quickly changed it after joining a gun club, at the moment I have AA S410 Carbine, walnut thumb stock which I quite like, but some would hate it!

It's all down to personal preference, as the others have said. Also, it depends on whether you would prefer a brand new rifle or don't mind getting a second hand one.

If you go new, obviously with charging equipment, you're going to be a bit limited on that kind of budget. If I were you, I'd look towards an Air Arms S400 or a BSA Scorpion or Ultra, but it's horses for courses, so to speak.
