unlucky 13

as the topic says unlucky 13, went out this evening about 6pm to do abit of shooting rather than the normal sit in and watch the same crap having a beer,

this was a day of lazy mans shooting not having to get out the 4x4 other than to collect the rabbits, on my first bit of permission the owner has cut down the nettles and high grass in his fields this was making it a bit harder as most of the rabbits were now only sitting outside there holes, and must be getting used to my 44 as would let you get about 100yrds to them then they would run.

as i was driving along one of the farm tracks i spotted a rabbit and had a look around and the first time in two years is there another car on this track right behind me so had to drive on leaving mr bunny until i could turn my car around and go back, now i normally only drive round this track the one way as it goes right around the big field with warrens near the fence line, but as the rabbits dived for cover on the first drive round i must have confused them by driving the other way around as when i got to the corner of the field i spottied a bunny and just as i fired he ducked down and the pellet went right through his ear, he ran about a further 5 yrds making this near 40yrds before stopping then i took aim again and couls see through the scope one of his ears was now folded over the second pellet seen him hit the deck with little movement, then further up the road i got an other two making a total of 6 from this permision,on driving out the owner was coming in and stopped and asked how many and was glad to hear i got 6 and as time was getting on and it was off to my next permission that is only a couple of miles up the road when i got there there was rabbits all over the place and i drove up the farm track road and managed to shoot a further seven, then i decided to park the car up and go into the field and collect them leaving the gun in the car, silly me as i was getting upto 15yrds aay from some rabbits before they dived for cover on the embankment. anyways the ferrets are now tucking into the rabbits. picture of end of day shoot.

Thanks guys for the slut points, if you were only there you lot would have been pissing yourselfs with the events that happened, when driving up totaly focused on looking for mr bunny a sheep in the field went bah and it sounded as if it was right in my ear and i didn't half jump with fright, then when i went to pick up a bunnny both my wet hands onto an eletric fence and zap.

so heart dropped a beat with the sheep but the fence put it back to normal.

just noticed some spelling mistakes lol

Had to laugh at the "through the ears" shot. I did that last year when I over compensated for a bunny. 1st shot got him through the ears. 2nd was lower and finished him off quickly. But when i retrieved him, it was as if someone had been down the piercing shop and he had a .22 hole through both ears perfectly!
