i nipped down to Border gun room this afternoon and picked up a nice AYA yeoman, the usual dints, scratches etc. but shoots fine, with ejectors  for a very fair sum

i also got 100 cartridges to keep me going, turns out SGC holders over 18 can buy cartridges for me, wich i know plenty of so that shouldnt be a bother.

had a quick mooch round the farm and got two bunnies, so im happy with it so far!

And of course, if you give them a crate of beer or two, that wouldn't count as payment, or maybe a birthday card with some folding readies in it!

Ya its a bit senseless, Here when You 16 and have your gun licence you can buy all the cartradges you want as long as you have a licence, Although our system is F**ked up and a pain in the ass.

Good work getting your gun and the best of luck with it,

I got over 130 rabbits in 15 days using 7.5 clay cartradges and my trusty quad, Love shotgun shooting :gunsmilie:

THE FIREARMS REGULATIONS 2010

The Firearms Regulations 2010 will come into effect on the 28th July 2010. The effect of the regulations is - on this date - to raise the age at which people in England, Wales and Scotland may purchase or hire firearms or ammunition from the current 17 years of age to 18. There are also changes to the exemptions for lending and borrowing firearms regarding adult supervision of under 18's. There are also changes to Northern Ireland legislation.

The regulations stem from the European Weapons Directive 1991 as amended in 2008. The UK are obliged to adopt changes within two years of any new Directive being passed.

There are other areas which will be affected by the directive such as Firearms Dealer’s registers, blank firing imitation firearms and deactivated firearms, but these will not come into effect for some time yet and are NOT implemented by this latest amendment legislation.

This write up was in last weeks countrymans weekly, but it's more or less the same word for word as that which is on the basc website.
