I know i'm nit picking mate but the start of your question says it all for me. No dog to run this season!!! A dog isn't for a season mate, its for life. I know you get fannies on here swapping dogs like panini stickers but don't go down that road. Spend your money on a decent pup, bring it up and this time next season you'll be the proudest hunter on here when your telling us its killed its first rabbit cos of you.

Been there myself mate where your stuck between having a dog too old and one too young. Sorry for jumping to conclusions but you can only try and read between the lines on here. Sorry to hear about your dog dying at 18 months old and its good to see it hasn't put you off. Awful hard trying to get a decent adult dog for sale for geniune reasons mate but I'm sure there are some out there but I reckon there will be an awful lot of bad ones too. Don't you have any friends you can trust in the lurcher world who might know of any dogs for sale mate? As for price, doesn't really tell you whether it will be any good. You'll get shit £500 dogs just the same as shit £60 ones and vice versa. I'm sure there will be guys on here that can tell you if they know of any dogs for sale and how the dog is and you can always ask if the person giving the advice is trustworthy. All the best in your quest(f****n poet now) anyhow mate.

In my opinion a dog aint just for a season, but besides that you will be lucky to get a good dog full stop, the season is upon us, id be careful if someone offers you a guarenteed dog ask to see it run first go out with them cos if a dogs 100% why sell it......just my opinion.

i wasnt refering to you mate, i was just making a statement, some lads will off load their dogs saying they are 3 outta 3 and infact have never coursed as much as a carrier bag blowing down a field. i personally would get a pup and run it next season, i have a half cross i will not be able to run this season as he aint old enough but i know next season is worth the wait.
