Ron Weasley 83
I'm hopefully going to pick up a cheap pistol at the weekend for humane dispatch in cage traps and a pit of tin can bashing. Been looking at the Beeman 2004E by SMK. Think that'll do the job, and if I get it, I'll put a picture up for you. Quote Link to post
Phantom 631
I'm hopefully going to pick up a cheap pistol at the weekend for humane dispatch in cage traps and a pit of tin can bashing. Been looking at the Beeman 2004E by SMK. Think that'll do the job, and if I get it, I'll put a picture up for you. The Beeman is a Chinese copy of the HW40 and is a good choice for a cheap pistol. Its a superb target pisto for the 6 yard and 10 Meter comps and yes at PBR it will put a pellet through a Bunny's skull and finish off a wounded animal. I would suggest though something of a larger calibre though such as HW45 although it's expensive, it will take the knocks and grind of everyday PC and last a lifetime It also has 2 power output levels so has the advantage of being able to transfere the appropriate level of Kinetic Energy on a Rat (lower level to avoid pellet exiting) an a higher level for a tougher skull such as a Squirrel. Trying to get a brain shot on an animal in a cage trap however takes (as Ron will know and confirm) a bit of time as the animal is not likely to stay still for very long and when it does, its likely to be face on another reason for a larger Calibre so that a heart/lung or neck or general chest shot will result in a virtually instant kill.
