Casso 1,261
ive heard that straight bedlington or hybrid are best left for experienced dog men/women,do you believe it to be true? Never heard that till i came on here, had my first at 16 and could not have been happier with her, she was a first cross, i believe beddys are much more forgiven of bad handling because they dont take offence as quick as other crosses, so i would say for a beginner they are perfect ,, Your going to get a lot of people on here telling you different, but thats down to their own ability and not the dog, If ya want something bud, thats going to jump through hoops for ya , get a collie cross, if ya want a dog that will respond to work with relish and is up there with the best of them when the going gets tough, i wouldnt look any further than a beddy cross,, 2 Quote Link to post
Guest fence_hopper
your both right i'd say its all depends on the dog some are stubburn some aint. Quote Link to post
Malt 379
A dog is a dog at the end of the day, if you know how to handle a dog properly it doesn't matter what breed it is IMO. Quote Link to post

sikastag_1 689
iv got a beddie greyhound, very very loyal dog especially with my kids, aint had any problems with her, no matter what the breed i think time and patience sorts the problems out and keeping a level head if you loss your temper when training a dog your "pissing in the wind". Guest Buttermilk
We've always had Bedlington crosses and straight Bedlingtons too. Our Crosses have always been around 22"tts and pure Beddy bitch 16"tts. They can be headstrong, but very loyal and extremely good workers. Quote Link to post
