Phantom 631
Awsome Just been reading Wurz's book "Advanced Airgun Hunting" and the author mentions that there is a growing amount of people using deek owls but he has never withnessed the corvids or blackbirds mob a decoy owl. He does mention that it is a common sight to see them mobbing real owls and he wonders how a real owl gets any sleep at all because the corvids will always find them I have a little Owl Deek that I am going to try; Hope we both have good luck Phantom Quote Link to post
theinvisiblescarecrow 0
In your garden ? Patio doors open a little, bait at the same time every day & leave them alone, a week later blamo. If It's a lone one pick up & leave the the bait, bait another few days. If some mates cause a comotion try & pick them off. Days between shooting builds confidence of free, hassle free grub. SEAN3513 7
using ANY shiney material to lure magpies is against the countryside and wildlife act. i.e the use of tin foil , mirrors etc............are not allowed under any circumstances. nice to hear your back safe and sound warbiscuit ...........and good work on the deek....looks the buisness. calling magpies in is quite effective........you can buy a call...or simply put about 20 pellets in an old camera film canister ( or similar) and shake ( if you listen to the magpies you will soon hear them and just imitate the call with your "rattle") good luck sean Quote Link to post
