what sort of exercise have you been giving the dog to get it like that?

I am getting my dogs fit at the moment ... i am just walking them at a trot but the plan is to increase the length of time i am out with them each week ... i will also benefit form the walking so we all might get fit :laugh:

You'll never get a dog up to full fitness just walking them Kay......maybe "pet" fit yes. :thumbs:

Got to get in the car or on your bike and get them running...............either that you start chasing some game :thumbs:

not my type of dog above but if you look at the amount of muscle mas it has you dont get that on a underweight dog

first cross collie grey should'nt have four ribs showing. saluki crosses don't look like that in match fitness!

first place mate its a she and if thats under weight then im the pope :thumbs:

 

a can see where hes coming from with the body size to the head size , but its just in tip top condition :victory:

a dog might look fit on the out side but it matters on the inside ,for order to a dog to get match fit is be time served in the field ,it needs be out their running its prey for a good few weeks to exercise the dogs lungs,so even no the dog looks ripped dos,ent allways been its FULLY FIT

plenty of walking in day and side rideing on push bike at night...do bout 4or5 mile side ride and 3or4 mile walk most days and night not every night i side ride her tho pads can get saw if i do it every night..atb

i started bikeing with mine and jogging but he had two weeks off due to kennal cough and some scumbag nicked my bike from outside the gym so back to square 1 lol, just started taking him out again this week for walks so will get a pic in a few weeks

 

old pic when i wasnt working and was out mooching everyday for hours, plenty of runs and was fit in my eyes but you can always get fitter
