Some very bonny dogs on here!

Tomo that was well put BUT last time i seen you you'd lost a shed load of beef....! (Was that just the worry of sommat imminent!! :whistling: )

I always like to hit the sunbeds before a show, anyone else...??? :icon_redface:

Al, great post too.

Borderlad, is that the dog off Whin?

Thing is i'd agree with a few posts on here, now is not the time to see dogs 'fit', mine ain't, looking well (for the time of year), YES, but 'match fit' NO!

Lets not forget, toward the end of a hard grafting season, some dogs just don't look their best, not by a long chalk BUT fit, most deffinatley.

My usual partner's dog, when at its best, usually looks its worst and when it looks 'well' can't run for shit! A shadow of its former self.

That collie cross does look good to MY eye and if the camera date is correct, it was snapped at the start of April, right after a season (?) so, maybe it is a fit as a fiddle, though again, in my eyes, its weight looks very much on a knife edge and if 'fit' and given a hard day or night 'would it burn up like a torch and look very much worse for wear after...? THING IS..... WE JUST DON'T KNOW!!!

That's because we don't know the dog, we have no idea if it holds weight, looks right when hard ran, or needs a forghtnight off...! You can make asumptions when looking at photos, as to blokes who keep their animals 'fit' but we never know what the animal actually is like, untill you own it and graft it, who knows what being 'right' should be for that particular animal. Each dog is different! With the million dollar question, what makes up a lurcher and the billion answers, each different according to 'taste', then when do we deem any of them 'fit', other than plenty of hard running, which judging by a photo we are never really gonna know!!

So by that lets keep this post to.... 'Dogs looking really well (for the time of year)'....? ;)

Hi guys, just wanting to see pictures of your dogs in full fitness.

Thanks in advance

here is my first x collie/grey fit as a fiddle...k2mi48.jpg

This is fit!!!............. :wallbash: Some dogs just show rib more than others. My lab shows rib in the middle of the shooting season and anybody who says he is not fit would soon have that opinion changed when they saw him work.

Cracking dog minzy
