tisque 0
Hello All, Having some serious issues with crows at the moment on my farm, they are everywhere, barns, fields, trees. I urgently need to get tried of them. As soon as I take the first shot, (12g) they pi*s off about 1/4 mile away and watch! Very hard to get them to come back in. What is the best way to get them coming back once I am in my hide? Decoys ( got 2 at the moment), crow caller, dead rabbits on the ground?? Also so my .22 RM & air riffle to use if there are any successful techniques that these could be used.... Regards, Tom Quote Link to post
jinxnjill 0
why not invite some of the falconry guys out for some crow bashing, could be fun and give your crows a fright Quote Link to post
shotgunny 39
Just keep trying the most important thing is to stay well hidden as crows have unbelievable eyesight. Don't put a load of decoys out just a few and then just wait put a dead rabbit out with a decoys beside . Hope it helps atb sg Quote Link to post
tisque 0
Any falconers keen in Shropshire? More than welcome Quote Link to post
stubby 175
you need to set up hide/decoys before sun up/ still dark, get in the hide and dont ventue out again, crows aint silly, leave shot birds where they lay, if you start running out to pick up/place more decoys down, they will sod off as you say, I have good success when putting 6 deeks down, compaired to when putting only two down Quote Link to post
dave1372 83
I find crow shooting so frustrating too..... shot 45 last Sunday then went out ot the same spot set up the same and only got 5 on Thursday ! Maybe try putting a rabbit out with the stomach cut open and hopefully that will help. Good luck and let us all know how you get on. Quote Link to post
