Hi,

Just thought I'd say hi. I've been a member, if some what recluse. For ages. But never really posted a hello. So hello. I'm from around the ashton/saddleworth area of Manchester. Got a Border terrier and Staffy and Rhodesian Ridgeback. Not really used as hunters but the Border and ridgeback do work well together when out and about. The border flushes rabbit towards the ridgeback everytime. And the ridgeback will chase. But she's yet to catch. Also into shot guns. But only ever aimed it at clays. I'm here cause I'd love to learn the art of hunting. 31 now so getting on a little for a newbie. But it seems like hunters are born into hunting families. Hopefully once I've posted more on here and read lots more. Then I my find myself with the basic knowledge I'll need to get out and about.

Once again Hello

Hi Damo

I've got Ridgies too :) Tho' most of them are getting on a bit now (4 aged over 8, and one just 2) they aren't too bad with the bunnies. The ten year old got one yesterday. Got 2 Aussies to, the 12 year old caught her breakfast last week. Not back for an oldie :)

My ridgebacks three this december. Shes a stunner and loves to be out in the field. If i had had more hunting knowledge I'm sure she would of turned out to be a mighty fine alternative to a lurcher (sure you lurcher men won't agree hehehe) I plan to mate her later this year or early next year so might have another chance at training a great strong working dog to work.
