WE HAVE NOT SEEN MANY SALMON AND SEA TROUT MOVING UP OUR RIVER LATLEY ,WE USUALLY GETA FEW EARLY ONES SEPTEMBER AND OCTOBER BUT NO GREAT NUMBERS .ANY WAY ALL THE RAIN WE HAVE HAD IN THE LAST WEEK HAS DONE SOME GOOD WENT OUT FOR A WALK ON SUNDAY MORNING RECOVERING AFTER SESION ON THE BEER TO RECOVER AND STOPPED AT THE WEER I STAYED THERE 20 MINITES AND SAW PLENTY OF FISH GOING OVER AVERAGE SIZE BETWEEN 4 POUND TO 15 POUND AND LOADS OF SEA TROUT VERY NICE TO SEE THEM AS THEY HAVE BEEN IN DECLINE FOR A FEW YEARS NETS ON THE ESTURY

good to see salmon etc are running later every year they are thinking of putting the legal fishing later to counter the late runs of good fish at sea , we get a few in sep but once the legal days over for netting not that its legal you dont get the same price for them, so we leave them some dont i do

I hear they have bought all the legal netmen out in the south of Ireland. 40million yo-yos I heard the figure was. You'll always get late fish everywhere I've seen fish running through December and January these fish are sometimes caught early march and get branded springers but fact is fish will run all year round with concentrations of fish increasing at different times of the year, first I've heard of sea trout running in winter though, saying that it's still veery mild and it's always great to hear there is still sea trout out there.

my local river you get sea trout up to christmas and big fechers up to 20 pounds ,its not abig river but there no other estuaries for away so you alway get them at certain times , plus seals , our season for fish is feb to sep , prices vary from 3 pound to 7 pound a pound in the season i fish in the estuaries on the darkening tide so no c sees what we are about etc you get 4 good tides a fortnight , thats enough for me as its only pocket money al the best
