witton 6
Give her a sharp tug every time she pulls even if its only slightly, she will soon learn. David Quote Link to post
Guest big bull x
take a bit of bamboo or something with you and give him a little tap and tell him why hes having the tap Quote Link to post
Guest Jane Russell
a Halti or Halti-type harness works well but doesn't exactly look the part! You can also try stopping when she pulls. It will drive you nuts but will teach her to behave. Jane Quote Link to post
marco 24
i know it doesn't sound very nice but its a very common and effective remady, just walk it with a choacker chain and do what witton says it'll get the message. Quote Link to post
whin 463
when i was seroius into dog trainig comps etc i would have started heel work as a young pup, steady etc but if shees pulling at six moons heel her with a choker not to rough but enough to know she,s getting told a command , once you have her heelng with lead then heel her infront of live stock game as you get her confidece ,good heel work takes time , i dont bother with my saluk cross and greyhound whippet but they are out nightly or most nights they no whos got the lamp etc but my collie line are little fechers and need to no whose boss sometimes all the best Quote Link to post
FastDogz 155
Wudnt personally use a choke chain with such a fine bred dog... Necks are too easy damaged if used the wrong way. Like witton said a sharp tug to bring her to heel everytime it pulls should soon work.Janes advice is also good everytime she put pressure on stop dead ..thatll teach her she aint getting anywhere when she pulls Lovley dog!
