Alan Clark 7
I've got a 3lt bottle, you could get them new for less than £100 from a dive shop in north manchester (and they do free postage on orders over £50) when I was looking around. Mine came with the rifle so saved a wedge. And as poacherkev said, go for a steel bottle rather than alloy. Also if you can find the place that dive shops get their compressed gas from then you may be able to save a bit on re-fills. I get mine for about £3.50-4 from the local diving logistics place, the last time was in March. As for filling tube, go for a microbore pipe, you lose less with each fill of the rifle when you have to de-pressurise the tube to take it off the rifle. Pumps are hard work, from what I have been told, and have the problem of potentially letting water into the cylinder, which at 200 bar will eat the inside of the cylinder in no time. You can get drying packs but by the time you have done that you could have bought a large cylinder which is charged with completely dry air. Quote Link to post
markha 99
I have a 3lt 300bar steel bottle, and get plenty of gun fills from it, also my local dive shop only charges me £2 for a complete fill, so very happy days and a lot less hard work than a pump which will cost you just as much Quote Link to post
