As an aside, has anyone ever cured a yapper? :)

im not saying every yapper can be cured but some can ..when i first started with the lurchers many years ago i was offered a small lurcher bitch that yapped on the chase i turned her down but a mate took her on and all he did was ferret with her for mths she nailed loads in the net plus a few runners it gave her her what she needed easy catches she went on to be a very good day and night dog..

yeah i supose just thought more people would be intrested if it went free and i need space to get a pup

Im not taking the piss or slaging you but your getting rid of one dog to get another ?????? :whistling: So why not put some more work in to the one that yaps ? instead of passing it on for somut new

What I thought.

What will happen if the new one doesn't live up to your very high standards?

because i had a pup of my own litter but the bitch kepd pining it n didnt have the space to seperate them now i want a dog to bring on my self and also wanting a suluki i have 2 bull grayhounds whitch are good on the bigger stuff but not so good on rabbits and that so thats my reason if u dont like it then jog on pal you cant complain its not like am charging the dog may over come the yapping and al the rest of it but i would rather have a suluki x coss even if it did sort its self out there is not much staminer in the dogs breed

That bull bitch in my avatar was a yapper when she started on the lamp. Had a few 'dog men' say I should get shut when they heard her.

Won't lie, I was worried sick but none knew that.

Took the summer off and headed east to the rolling green of the dales in late August. Damn fine runnin up there, none stop, near ran her to death, didn't have time or breath for a yap, she just loved every minute of it, she was pleased as punch with herself, so was I!

For the next few months I tried my best to give her easier runs, she was still loving it and didn't make a sound.

She lived to 9 years of age, killed everything I put her on and was silent thoughout. The best dog i've ever owned. Good bull crosses have enough wind, determination and desire will always bring that out.

Thats how my bull bitch stopped yapping but some folks are never happy with their lot and change like the weather, pity, its always the dogs that get the shit end of the stick.

fair play mate, at least you told the truth about the yaping.some feckers wouldnt, and it end up in a hole.! Might be ok for bit of mooching, just ask for 30-40£quid.Then it might not get passed on to much,

Really interesting to read the lads who took some time and cured the dog of yapping.

Fair play to each and every one of you.....I have to admit that I dont have a lot of patience in some circumstances (but then again, some would say I have too much).

As with all dogs, you have to make informed judgements and it sounds like it paid off for some of you.

Cheers, good reading
