ferrety f 23
Found this on a ferret forum i use. If you use Jeyes fluid to clean out your ferrets, you should be aware that the ingredients of the fluid has been changed, They have removed the coal tar acids and replaced them with a chemical that is harmfull to ferrets. It gets in through the ferrets pads and once its built up in the ferrets system can kill them overnight. I was informed of this info by someone on another site who quoted from the Shooting Times where they have been discussing the problem. i also did a google search on Jeyes fluid ferret and the stuff in the blue can be deadly to ferrets. Apparently anything that turns cloudy when mixed with water should not used because of certain dangerous ingredients ( cant remember the name ) Edited July 18, 2010 by ferrety f Quote Link to post
