Guest Frank
Hi folks. Well, a great day. The morning dawned frosty and crisp, a bright clear day ahead, smashing for travelling to pic my pup up. My young son came with me and loved every miniute of it. :thumbs-up: We arrived at the lads house and met the pups and their parents. The father was brindle, off sooty sam/luguna lines and KC reg. Dam, was off coursing lines, a blue brindle. I liked the pups straight away when i seen them and my bitch pup is blue and has been named by my wife , as Millie. She was shy when i got back and ran under the shed, where she stayed for 10 odd mins. Some food in my palm, soon brought her out and i put her in the shed to show her new home and she loved it. A very shy, but coming on bitch, i have a good feeling about her. Pics below, not the best, but will take more soon. One of the pics, is my son with her and the other one, is of her, telling me where she wants to sleep. Frank. Quote Link to post

Tina 1
very nice Frank, she does look very nervous, and she looks huge in that second picture! I'm sure you will make her more confident day by day, I hope she's does what you want her to in the future with her being so shy and nervous do you think she has had much socializing? you might have a job on your hands bringing her out of her shell, but with lots of TLC I'm sure she will be fine Quote Link to post

Guest Frank
Thanks all. Witton, she does look a wee bit redy brown alright, on her legs. Snoop dog, her parents were nice size whippets, Sire, was 23 and dam was 20. He showed me a DVD of them working, deadly. He had some very dark polecat ferrets their too, very nice looking. Marco, :11: , i did not know, you all cared so much. Thanks. :thumbs-up: Tina, thanks. the lad i got her off, lived in the middle of nowhere , took a while to get up to him. He is surrounded by rabbits, foxes, hares etc. He was the only one that they had seen and they never seen anyone else that often, so were used to him mainly. I made great progress since she arrived and im sure she will come round soon. Id say she will be a one man dog, which i like, she wont go with strangers in the future hopefully. Macker, thanks very much. Her mother killed the odd fox too. Frank. Quote Link to post

It does look big for a pup in that second pic!Hope mine aint as big or the missus will be mortified :11: she is wanting a little dainty thing but i want one for working. I've been told that i am only allowed to take the Whippet lamping as me lass wants her with her all the time keeping her company...which suits me fine Thanks Stevolad. :thumbs-up: Best of luck with your pup , Sounds as if she will be spoilt red rotten by your missus. :11: My pup does seem a wee bit big, we worked out she might nake 20 odd inches at the shoulder Frank.
