Yeah the SMK QB is a copy of the Crosman.

Used one on the range and dropped knockdowns out to 40+ yards.

Not too good if the ambient temperature is low as this will reduce power output and likewise if temps are scorchers they have been known to go over.

Th only thing I don't like about the QB's is the cost of the Co2. You use 2 bulbs at a time.

I would suggest you look at something like the SMK XS19, dirt cheap springer if you want a cheapie

I love mine and its nice to handle, and deadly accurate. Its a copy of the Gamo Hunter. And of course no Co2 to buy

I must admit, I'm getting lazy, with my Baby AA S200, must go kill some bunnies with the Beast (XS19)

Hi, Alastair.

I've not had anything to do with the SMK's but from what I've read on here and other places it seems if you get a good one, they're OK but the quality's maybe a bit random.

I've used a King Ratty for a couple of years now and I really rate it for what it is. Small, accurate and so far no problems. Co2 does have it's limitations that have been covered many time before but so long as you stay within those limits, they're fine.

Cheers.

Its the earlier SMK's that were crap.

The Chinese manufacturers now have better quality controls and are hoping to become the new Japanese.

Remember the old Jap Crap, well thats what the earlier Chinese were.

Now the Jap Crap is probably the best in the world when it comes to manufacturing. The Chinese are following suit

The American airgunning population are going mad about with the Westlakes (SMK's but under a US Importer). They can be tuned to perfection but they are from the same factory machines.

Thanks to Degsy (Lost Scouse) I have have just aquired the Westlake B2 that I'm going to posh up and tune.

I cant wait to put it through its paces :D

There are also a few members on there that are well respected sluts on here too (Me being one of them) :whistling:
