Marksman 934
Well as the title says, me n wor kid hit our local permission at about 0130hrs, zero checked as per usual, radios checked and off we went on our separate ways. Wor kid headed off to the paddocks and back field and I headed into the corner of the hay field where I know there's always a fair few. Got down to where I wanted to be and flicked on the lamp, there was about 10-12 within a 50M radius so off with the lamp and the slow stalk began....... 10M later, flicked on again and there was one sitting around the 38-40M point but as soon as it saw the lamp it started to twitch, with no wind blowing I managed to get down for a kneeling shot, 1 1/4 mildots above the noggin and squeezed the trigger........MISSED!!! All but 2 legged it so repositioned myself gave it a full mildot this time and yes.....missed again! I was hoping it wasnt going to be one of those nights...... Got to about 0400hrs and the radio went...."You got owt yet???" "Nope!" I replied..... "saw plenty just couldnt hit them for toffee" "Same here" wor kid said.... A cuppa was in order so we met back at the pickup where after a quick cuppa a check of zero was in order....both bang on... Only explanation was shooter error...... The second session was a little more productive....well....a lot more actually.... we swapped sides and as dawn broke the bunnies ventured out and offered us a great variation of distance shots I managed to bag myself 7 bunnies and a woody that decided to stay stuck up the tree and wor kid got 5 and a Rook Pics below..... My Bag The Group Shot Cheers for reading Darryl Edited July 18, 2010 by Marksman 8 Quote Link to post
